It has been
observed that many persons visit Police Headquarters for various purposes i.e.
complaints, service verification / passport verifications, permissions for
religious / political processions, use of loudspeakers, to know the progress of
investigation / pending enquiries, getting copies of FIRs / untraced reports,
NOC for arms licences, payment of bills etc. They have to visit various branches
which caused inconvenience both to the visitors as well as the officials working
in the Police Headquarters. In order to improve responsiveness of police, early
redressal of the grievance of public and to better service, a "PUBLIC
WINDOW" system has been set up in Police Headquarters (U.T.) Chandigarh.
For the convenience of the public we have introduced

To provide a single point contact for the public, for early redressal of
public grievances and better service to the public. Filing complaints and enquiries
regarding the progress of complaints / requests can be personally or through
telephone or fax or email or postal mail , Public Window System,
U.T. Police Head Quarters, Sector 9, Chandigarh.
